“Your the best boy ever”

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4

While walking through the store yesterday I was a man on a mission. I was looking for a specific item and I needed to get out of the store as quickly as I could. As I intensionally and strategically made my way through the store, in the midst of the Christmas music and noise I heard some one say “your the best boy in all the world”. It caught my attention and I stopped to look around for a moment. I then saw a father walking and glancing down at his little boy and he stated again”your the best boy in all the world as he smiled”.  What an encouraging and heart warming sight, as I reflected upon when my kids were that age.

As parents we have a tendency of allowing circumstances to dictate our view of things. If our children make poor choices we may loose sight of the good that they do and fixate on all the negative. It may not be circumstances but we may just be pessimists or negative people overall. No matter the cause of your negativity make a choice to start change for yourself. A younger generation is learning from us and what a blessing it would be to invest life and encouragement in a young ones life rather than cursing and negativity.

I often think that this is an example of the way God views us, in that He expresses love, vision, and belief in us when we don’t see it in ourselves. Be the change you need to be for your life and your family.

Be Proactive, Be Persistent and finally Be Positive…..
