The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow,

“The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.” -Psalm 93:1 (NIV) One of my favorite things to do with my family is take road trips. I enjoy planning out the trip, packing, and the joy of spending time with the family. Throughout the years we have predominantly traveled in the northeast of the United States. As a family, we always plan on leaving as early as possible to avoid rush hour traffic as well as any other potential delay (plus the kids will sleep). I have to say that it is also due to one of my favorite times of the day, sunrise. I love traveling through the mountains or near the coast and experiencing the sunrise. The colors in the sky are breath taking. I stand in awe of how all creation just comes alive. As the sun rises it even helps me wake up. If I was feeling tired, I am now ready for the day. In today’s text, we read as the Psalmist acknowledges the Superiority, the Might and the Holiness of God. He understood that how mighty creation may seem, God reigned above all creation, and that what he put in place no one could change. We can learn something from creation and that is that it acknowledges the majesty of its creator every day. Like clockwork, creation functions like the creator made it to. As you go through your day today be thankful, rejoice, and let God know how amazing he is. Don’t wait for the occasional road trip to remind you, but like creation give thanks daily. Father God in Jesus name, I want to give you thanks and praise for all you do in my life and the lives of those around me. You are amazing and I partner with all creation today and acknowledge your wonder. Amen.
