"Clarity"

Have you ever been driving down the road and hit a patch of fog? I remember during a family trip coming back from North Carolina going throughout the mountains, while traveling the rain and the fog hit. I could vaguely see the vehicles in front of me, so I slowed down until I could identify what was in front of me. I am also reminded of the many eye appointments I have gone to where the eye specialist would put this lens apparatus in front of me while sitting in their office. They would begin sliding lenses in front of me saying “is one clearer or two” as I stared and tried to figure out what I was looking at. Just to review I have had glasses since I was 4, and remember throughout the years thinking at times, are they trying to trick me? and what is the point in this. They would click one and then two and they both were blurry? Well anyway I know know that there was no conspiracy to make me look foolish but they had a strategy to get my eyes to focus clearly. Through out my years of serving the Lord I and my family have experienced a great deal, we have lived out the good, the bad and the ugly at times. Yet the Lord has always brought us through. In today’s world there is so much obscurity and adversity at times, we can very easily loose heart and allow our faith to waiver. I find courage and encouragement though Gods Word, it would seem that when there is obscurity the thing we can neglect the most is Gods Word. The one thing that can be a lamp unto our feet and light unto out pathway. Devotionals, and book studies are great but there is something unique that happens when God speaks to you through his Holy spirit, when you spend time in the Word. It can and will give direction to live a focused life. Turn to God and allow Him to bring clarity to your life today.

“Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.” (Mark 8:23-25)
