GPS

A good friend of mine let me borrow his GPS prior to going on vacation, as we traveled we were coached on every turn and distance. It amazed me how much faith we put in it directions, whether the directions led us the long way or even if the directions were not accurate we trusted it. In life we are confronted with struggles where we feel as if we are at a crossroad asking the question which way should we go? In proverb 3:4 we read “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.” We can find comfort though in this proverb, we may not know truly what each day will bring, but if we place our trust in God and make the effort to trust him by obeying his precepts, he will make our path straight. He may not remove us from the trial immediately but he will give the provision to overcome. A key word to highlight is “understanding”, there are times we may not know why we have to go through certain situations, but it is OK not to know, we can talk to God about it and as we do it he through his grace brings understanding and strength. So be encouraged an “Trust in the Lord” do try to figure it all out yourself he is a great from of GPS.
